You Are Not Alone follows Shay, a young data researcher who is unhappy with how her life is working out. She doesn't have a permanent job, she barely has one friend,she lives with an unrequited crush who only sees her as a friend and she doesn't really speak to her family. She is struggling and feeling lonely until she finds herself in the wrong place at the wrong time and witnesses a young lady committing suicide.  She starts to become obsessed with finding about about the deceased lady's life and then befriends the deceased's close friends and finds her life slowly turning around. She has good friends, a stable job, things seem to good to be true! They are! This was an intriguing read. Most of the story is told via Shay's POV but some chapters are from the other girl's perspectives which honestly made this so much better. This story follows a few different perspectives. Gabe is on the way home one day and sees his daughter in the back of an old car. He watches her disappear. He soon learns that his wife and daughter have been killed but he swears he saw his daughter in the back of that car. No on believes him. The believe he is guilty. 3 years later, Gabe hasn't given up hope and continues searching for that car and whoever took his daughter. He believes that she is still alive. Alice works in a service station. She often sees Gabe come in. She knows his story, most people do. She understands his pain. Her father was killed 9 years ago. Fran and her daughter Alice are on the run. Fran knows the truth about what happened to Gabe's daughter and she knows that if they catch up to her and Alice, they will be killed. Crooked River continues on straight after the events of the previous book 'Verses for the Dead.' Agent Pendergast is called in to assist an investigation in Florida where a large number of human feet have washed up on a beach. No one can figure out where they have come from and he soon calls in his ex-partner Coldmoon to help him with the case which seems to be turning more and more deadly the more they investigate. I definitely enjoyed this book however, I did find it dragged a little at times. I also still do not like Constance. Try as they might I just can't seem to like her and find her incredibly annoying. I also found Coldmoon's character to be completely different to what I remember him being in the previous book and I don't know if it's just me not remembering him or if they changed his personality. One Of Us Is Next is the sequel to One Of  Us Is Lying . It doesn't follow the same cast of characters but they do appear throughout the novel. I found that this one was more predictable to me than the first one but it still had a nice little twist at the end that you don't see coming. My only fault with this book is that I wished we could have seen more of what happened at the end after that last twist but I guess that just means I was fully invested in the characters and wasn't read to leave them yet which is the sign of a good book. In this novel, the teens at Bayview are sent a truth or dare game. Once you are selected you have 24 hours to accept your dare or else a truth about you will be revealed. This was such a fun premise for this book and was the reason why I couldn't wait to read this book. This is the first novel in a series of 4 and I believe also Kerri Maniscalco's debut novel. It follows Audrey Rose Wadsworth in 1988 and her fascination with forensic medicine.  The novel opens with 17 year old Audrey helping her uncle do an autopsy, and boy does the author paint a gruesome picture. That is only the beginning of this creepy thriller but it will definitely have you hooked after the first few lines. While this is set in 1988 and society's standards for women are definitely not helping your uncle sew up a cadaver, I found this book to be a nice blend of historical fiction and modern day feminism. Audrey fights for what she believes in while also (mostly) being a proper lord's daughter. After a string of killings in London, Audrey and another of her uncle's students, Thomas Cresswell, (more on him later) are on the hunt for the infamous Jack the Ripper. This novel is described as the Breakfast Club meets Pretty Little Liars and that is exactly what you get! 5 students go into detention and only 4 come out alive. This book will have you guessing from the first chapter, right up until the mystery is solved. I'm usually fairly good at picking up on who the culprit is but I did not see this one coming. It is told through the perspective of the four suspects, so you get to see inside the minds of all of them and you also slowly get to learn all their secrets which messes with your mind.  Just when you have ruled out someone, a secret gets revealed and you start to second guess yourself which adds to the mystery and the fun of this story. The writing style is easy to read and the story had me saying just one more chapter as I continued to read into the night.   This was definitely a fun read with a twist I didn't see coming and I will definitely be picking up more books from this author in the future!

When a billionaire's daughter's headless body shows up in an abandoned warehouse, Pendergast and D'Agosta are called in to try and solve the case. Soon more wealthy New Yorkers are found brutally murdered with their heads nowhere in sight and Pendergast and D'Agosta find themselves with no idea who the killer/killers could be. Pendergast is not his usual self in this book as he is still trying to come to terms with what happened in the ending of the previous book and does not seem to really care about this case. D'Agosta is frustrated with Pendergast but also the fact that every lead he has seems to end nowhere. While I enjoyed this book I didn't really like the fact that Pendergast wasn't being his usual Pendergasty self. (Yes it's a word now. There is no other way to describe him so he gets his own adjective!) What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas...unless you're running for office and then nothing stays a secret. Tyler Sloan, rock star, decides to leave his music career behind and run for senator in the state of Nevada. A celebrity running for office...where have I heard that before?! Honestly this book couldn't have come out a more perfect time and having Las Vegas as the backdrop was the ideal setting. Tyler's campaign is fraught with scandals (yes more than one) and the author definitely shines a light on the corruption and what really goes on in politics. I found the book slow to start off with but then it really picked up and I found myself rooting for Tyler and hoping he would win the race and wondering what new hurdle he would have to jump. He is a likeable character who definitely has his flaws but I think that's what made him easy to like. Inferno is the fourth novel in the Robert Langdon series and much like, Angel & Demons, the Da Vinci Code and the Lost Symbol, it's a thrilling mystery adventure that takes you on a wild ride. The novel starts with Robert awaking in the hospital with no recollection of how he got there. One of the doctors that is looking after him, Sienna Brooks informs him that he stumbled into the Emergency room with a concussion due to having been grazed in the head by a bullet. He also learns that he is in Florence, Italy and that he cannot recall the past three days. A spiky haired assassin then walks in and shoots one of the doctors that's looking after him but before she can shoot Robert, Sienna grabs him and they make a run for it.
