Read All The Books

Love and War continues shortly after the first book Alex and Eliza .  Alex and Eliza newlyweds struggling to make ends meet. Eliza is dreaming of the day they can move out of her family home and start a family of their own and Alex is ready to go to end the war and make something of himself. While I enjoyed this book, it wasn't nearly as goof as the first and knowing that there will be a third and final book now, I believe that majority of this book could have been condensed and just added to the final book. I feel this series would have been better as a duology. That's just my feeling having read the second book, it might change once I have read the final book, but for now I feel like this book was mostly filler that could have been condensed. While the storyline dragged, I loved the characters as much as I did in book one. They still give me all the feels and although I am not married, I feel this book definitely portrayed a newlywed couple perfectly. Not...

So I first heard about this book on Tumblr. The author's daughter had made a post about when she was younger and realised that she started to have feelings for a girl at her school and had told her mum about it so her mum wrote a book about it so that other young people going through the same thing would have something to relate to. The main character, Maddie, starts to notice the new girl, Gemma, at school. Soon they are both cast in the school play, Romeo and Juliet and Maddie starts to realise that she likes Gemma as more than a friend. I like that the entire novel is a modern retelling of Romeo and Juliet except without the tragic ending. I really enjoyed the little nods to Shakespeare throughout the novel. The ice-cream store that Maddie hangs out with her friends is name Verona's the town where Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet is set in. The shopping centre where Maddie goes to buy a dress for a school dance is called Mantuas, the town where Romeo is banished ...

My TBR for February is extremely ambitious seeing as how the month only has 28 days but we will see how I go: So obviously I have not finished the Complete Works of Shakespeare in January. Not even half way though so that is going on the list: Then the 2 books that are coming out in February that I am looking forward to are also going on the list: I have been putting off reading the Shadowhunter Chronicles so I plan to read the Mortal Instruments and the Infernal Devices this month as well: And just incase that wasn't enough I thought I would add these 3 as well: So there you have it. A grand total of 15 books I plan to read in February. Probably won't get through half of them but I am optomistic!

This novella is number 4.5 in the Fall Away series. The main character is the sister of Jarod, Madoc and Jax, 3 characters who you meet in the previous books. Next to Never introduces her to the series, however this novella is not her love story. This story is about the next generation while also giving the reader some insight into background history of previous characters. This novella sets up the rest of the series to come. There is a story within this story which I really enjoyed the concept of. It's not every day that you read a book that has a book in it. What I have read about the new generation so far has been promosing and I can't wait til she writes the next book in the series. Not sure how I felt about the love story included (like I mentioned it is not the main characters love story) but it does explain in previous books, 2 characters that I didn't quite understand how they ended up together. This is the first book in the 'To All The Boys I've Loved Before' series. I believe this is a 2 book series. I'd read 'The Summer I Turned Pretty' series and the 'Burn For Burn' series (or at least what has been released so far) so I was very excited to read this novel as I enjoyed other Jenny Han novels. This story is told from the point of view of Lara Jean, a 16 year old priveleged middle child who was basically raised by her older sister Margot as their mother died when they were younger and their father, ob-gyn is often at appointments or on call. Lara Jean has had 5 crushes in her lifetime, one being Margot's ex-boyfriend and the way she gets over these crushes through the years is by writing each boy a letter about how she feels, sealing it, addressing it and putting it in a hat box that she keeps under her bed.
