Red, White & Royal Blue - Casey McQuiston Review

Image
This is the debut novel by Casey McQuiston and my gosh is it amazing! This book is everything. It will give you ALL the feels! It follows Alex, the First Son of America as he falls in love with his sworn enemy Prince Henry of Wales. This was the cutest story and made me squee so many times. After a confrontation with Henry at his brother's royal wedding, Alex and Henry are covered in a very expensive wedding cake and both sides have to do damage control. Plan of action. Make it look like Alex and Henry are best friends. After a weekend in England doing interviews and staging fake photos, Alex discovers that perhaps Henry isn't the uptight royal he believed him to be. Perhaps there is more to him than meets the eye. A friendship soon blossoms and the back and forth texts between the two would unfreeze any cold dead heart and if that isn't enough, the secret romance that soon begins will have you heating up and keep you turning the pages. I loved everything abo...

I Spy The Boy Next Door - Samantha Armstrong Review

Image
So the premise of this book sounded like it would be a fun quick read, a home-schooled girl who has a crush on her neighbour and spies on him through her bedroom window finally gets her chance to go to public school and come face to face with her crush. Fun right! Well it was that and so much more! The first three quarters of the book was Mallory navigating through high school for the first time, making new friends, and finding out that Troy, her neighbour and crush is not what he appears. I loved the scenes between Mallory and Troy, the back and forth, the hate he appears to have for her but then all the times when she ever needs him there he is. They made my heart swoon! The last quarter of the book was a wild slightly dark ride indeed! It had me on the edge of my seat wondering what was going to happen next and I definitely couldn't put the book down and it was not what I was expecting but I loved it! The best part of this story is how throughout the book Mallor...
