The Remnant Chronicles is a trilogy following Princess Lia, First Daughter who should have the gift of sight. The first book, The Kiss of Deception starts with Lia about to be wed to a prince she has never met to secure and alliance between two kingdoms, She flees on the morning of her wedding day and starts a new life in a distant village. Unbeknownst to her, the jilted prince sets out to find her. An assassin is also sent out to kill her. The pair show up in the village where Lia has made her new life and Lia soon starts to fall in love with one of them. The best part about this book is the fact that you don;t know who the prince is and who the assassin is. You are in the dark as much as Lia. The novel is a whole lot of fun trying to work it out until it is revealed. The second and third books, The Heart of Betrayal and The Beauty of Darkness are a whirlwind of drama.
