Best books of 2019 and 2020 Reading Goals

What a great reading year I had in 2019 and I even discovered so many new favourite books. I started a bunch of new series and managed to finish some that I had started in previous years. Here is my list of the best books I read in 2019. This does not mean that they were published in 2019, just that I read them in 2019. These are not in any kind of order. Throne of Glass - Sarah J Maas Foolish Hearts - Emma Mills The Wicked King - Holly Black Ruin and Rising - Leigh Bardugo Finale - Stephanie Garber Restore Me - Tahereh Mafi Aurora Rising - Jay Kristoff & Amie Kaufman Aristotle & Dante discover the secrets of the universe - Benjamin Alire Saenz Somewhere Only We Know - Maurene Goo Hunting Prince Dracula - Kerri Maniscalco Dumplin - Julie Murphy Princess in the Spotlight - Meg Cabot I managed to finish almost all my reading goals of 2019 so I stuck with similar goals for 2020. Read 1 classic a month Read 100 books (I lowered this from last year as I have...

Best Reads of 2018 + 2019 Reading Goals

I read so many books in 2018 so it was very hard to narrow down the best ones but I managed to pick my favourite 12. These books didn't all come out in 2018 but I did read them in 2018. They aren't all 5 star reads but they are ones that stuck with me. They also aren't in order. 1. Anne of Green Gables - Ann M Montgomery What an adorable book this. It follows Anne and her misadventure in Green Gables. You'll laugh, you'll cry. It truly is fantastic! 2. The Night Circus - Erin Morgenstern 3. A Court of Mist and Fury - Sarah J Maas I have no words for this book and this series in general. I highly recommend it! 4. The Shadow of the Wind - Carlos Ruiz Zafron This follows a young boy who finds a copy of a book in a library of forgotten books and his quest in tracking down the authors other novels only to find that his life and family are in danger. 5. The Hating Game - Sally Thorne I love this book with all my heart. It shows what a fine there is between ...

2018 Reading Goals!

So after a fantastic year of reading in 2017 I have finally decided on my reading goals for 2018. I only have 2 goals for 2017 but they are BIG ones. Goal number one is to read 150 books! I usually only challenge myself to read 100 books but I have increased it to 150 because of goal number two. Goal number two is to read all the books on the BBC 6 book challenge which can be found here . This challenge states that the BBC believes that people have only read 6 books on this list. There are 100 books on the list. I have already read half the books on this list and I don't plan on reading the bible so there is a total of 49 books remaining but since 2 of the listed books are series it really equates to 57 books. There are a lot of new releases I am looking forward to next year hence why I upped my reading challenge to 150 as I did not want my reading list to just be books on the BBC list. So that's it! My reading goals for 2018! What are your goals?
