Mid Year Freak Out Tag 2020

1. What is the best book you have read so far in 2020?   157993
I have read this before but at the time of reading it, I rushed through it and didn't really pay attention to what the book was trying to convey. I was being a real adult and not seeing what is really important. I reread it this year and now I love it with all my heart. I read it twice in about a week and even watched the movie. 10/10 would recommend.

2. What is the best sequel you have read in 2020?

I read the first book in this series and didn't understand the hype at all. I had listened to the audio book and was ready to dismiss the entire series but thought I better give it another chance and I'm glad I did because I loved book 2! I loved the characters and the story line. I can't wait to pick up book 3.

3. A sequel that has come out his year that you haven't read but really want to.

I have been dying to pick up this book as book 1 ended on a cliffhanger but I have heard that this one ends on an even bigger one so I should probably wait to read it closer to book 3 release but I just can't wait. Think this will be my next read.

4. Your most anticipated releases for the second half of the year.

This is the 3rd book in this series and the release has been pushed back until the end of the year. It's set in Santorini and the weather here will just be starting to heat up and I am so ready to pick this up and read it outside in the sunshine.

5. Your biggest disappointment of this year.

I only managed to read the first 2 books in this series but I just couldn't get into it. I don't know what it was. My mind kept wondering. I might attempt to give this series another go in the future, perhaps when the tv series comes out.

6. The biggest surprise.

I downloaded the first 3 books for free on kindle and I have to say I wasn't expecting much. Most books that I download for free on kindle end up being just an average read but all 3 books were just so good and funny. Really looking forward to continuing with this series soon.

7. Your favourite debut author.

45879975. sy475
I think this is the only book I have read by a debut author/authors this year so it would have to be the two of them.

8. Your newest fictional crush.

No one stands out to be honest.

9. Your newest favourite character.

Lucy from Warewolf High stands out to me as she was just so funny!

10. A book that made you cry.

These 2 books made me cry this year. So many trigger warnings for both of them!

11. A book that made you happy.

I loved this book as a child and it is out of print now so it's really hard to find second hand. I randomly check openlibrary every few months to see if they have added it to their database and when I saw it I downloaded it immediately and started reading it right away and it is as good as I remember.

12. Your favourite book to film adaptation.

13. The most beautiful book you have gotten this year.

Think I picked the first book in this series last year as the most beautiful as well. The foiling is amazing and just look at Kal on the cover *chefs kiss*

14. What books do you have to read by the end of the year.
