So I had a really really good reading month in March so the only book that I didn't finish reading was so that is going on April's tbr: The other books I plan to read in April are:

Star-Crossed - Barbara Dee Review

So I first heard about this book on Tumblr. The author's daughter had made a post about when she was younger and realised that she started to have feelings for a girl at her school and had told her mum about it so her mum wrote a book about it so that other young people going through the same thing would have something to relate to. The main character, Maddie, starts to notice the new girl, Gemma, at school. Soon they are both cast in the school play, Romeo and Juliet and Maddie starts to realise that she likes Gemma as more than a friend. I like that the entire novel is a modern retelling of Romeo and Juliet except without the tragic ending. I really enjoyed the little nods to Shakespeare throughout the novel. The ice-cream store that Maddie hangs out with her friends is name Verona's the town where Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet is set in. The shopping centre where Maddie goes to buy a dress for a school dance is called Mantuas, the town where Romeo is banished

Hunted - Meagan Spooner Review

This is a Beauty and the Beast retelling and it is amazing! I haven't read any other Beauty and the Beast retellings before so I have nothing to compare it to but I really enjoyed this. While it has elements of the original, this version is about wanting more in life and that there is no living happily ever after, there is just happy living. This is what made the characters relatable. The fact that they didn't fit into society, they were unhappy with their lives, they wanted more. I also liked that some parts of the book were told through the Beast's perspective. That you got to see his conflicting emotions. Even though this wasn't a long book, and it did mainly focus on Beauty and her Beast, you also got to see the lives play out on the secondary characters in the novel (ie. her sisters etc.) and I think not enough writer's do that.  I liked that Beauty was there for her sisters and they for her. That she didn't forget about them. That they would do a

Like A Memory - Abbi Glines Review

This is the first novel of (as yet) untitled, new spin off series of Rosemary Beach and Sea Breeze.  It is told from dual perspective of Bliss York (daughter of Eva and Cage York, Sea Breeze) and Nate Finley (son of Blair and Rush Finley, Rosemary Beach). You don't have to have read any of the books in either series before you read this, however at the end of one of the books (and I honestly do not remember which one or which series it was) these two had their first encounter which was honestly just the cutest thing ever and I am glad that Abbi Glines decided to do a spin off series. This book is set 7 years after the two characters briefly dated one summer. Bliss who found out that she had leukaemia right after that summer has been cancer free for the last 4 years and decides it's time to move out of home and move in with her best friend Eli (son of yet another couple from the series) and take control of her life and live it to the fullest. Nate who never really got ov
